“We spent our honeymoon at the cottage and loved our week there. It was so peaceful and serene, just what we were looking for. The house was perfect. With wrap around screen porches, we left the french doors open all day and enjoyed the ocean breezes. The beaches are great for exploring and the wildlife was fun to see. “When we found the listing on VRBO, this cottage looked too good to be true. Was it really possible to find such a perfect, isolated beach house and soak up peace and quiet just steps from the beach - with no neighbors to speak of? It was amazing. The details in the listing spelled everything out beautifully. We appreciated the pre-booking phone call, during which Kristen wanted to be sure we realized that the island is a quiet place, without stores or restaurants. Was that really what we wanted? Absolutely! The cottage was beautifully decorated and very clean and cozy. Sleeping with the french doors open and listening to the waves? Magical. Andy stopped by shortly after we arrived to see if we had any questions, and mentioned that he’d be going to the mainland during the week so we should let him know if we needed anything. We didn’t... but we appreciated the offer. We tried both single and tandem kayaks and spent hours walking on the beach. It was a fabulous week, in a spot I’ve recommended to several friends.”

“First: The house is wonderful! Wrap around second floor screened decking, and an open deck for basking in the sun and watching the sunset over the Gulf. Comfortable furnishings, cozy rooms, more than basic kitchen ware. The ground floor opens to a short board walk leading straight to the beach. Second: The island setting can’t be beat! Car free! Walk the beach, walk the paths into the adjacent state park, walk to the bay side for the sunrise. Collect shells. We added many fossil shark teeth to the house collection. The house has binoculars but bring a camera to capture the abundant bird life, flowers, and spectacular views! Third: Rebecca and Andy are kind, gracious, and generous! The kindest people we have ever met who went out of their way to make our stay outstanding and memorable. What more could you ask for? By far one of our best vacations ever!”

“Absolutely PERFECT! The location - AMAZING! The HOME and PROPERTY are WAY better than described in this listing...The neighboring property is 290 acres of state park. Which means Florida in it’s most beautiful natural state. We saw many different species of wildlife (without being up close and personal LOL), more stars that you could ever imagine, and listened as the waves crashed on the shore nightly. The wrap around screened in porch has several seating areas so you can enjoy the outdoors any time of day. The down stairs area with a hammock, tables, couches, etc make it easy to come in after playing on the beach and just rinse off and relax, play board games and such. Stroll the Mangrove boardwalks to over to The Bistro and fire pit where you can relax Bay-side. The private doc for your boat and/or fishing. I could go on but I need to play it cool so there’s still reservation space for us in the future :-) Seriously, we could not have asked for a better place. Now, the icing on the cake....the owners! Rebecca and Andrew, were truly wonderful! They made sure we felt like we were staying in a friends beach house rather than being weekly renters. Simply amazing people! We left, even though we didn’t want to LOL, feeling like we had new friends and a vacation spot we will enjoy for years to come!”

“Great week in a very private setting. Not one complaint. Owners/hosts are wonderful. Everything we hoped for as far as:property location, style, equipment, etc. Kayaking thru mango grove was cool. Wife and I got to take a boat ride with Rebecca and saw manatee and many other wonders. First rate experience!”

“We had a great time at this property. Secluded and beautiful and peaceful - who could ask for more? No roads or stores or distractions....just a beautiful stretch of beach that can’t be beat. The water was great, the scenery gorgeous, the house was SO comfortable. I think we sat in every chair on that amazing screened in, wraparound deck. Every little nook was perfect at a different time of day - again, a very comfortable house. We had everything we needed and the hosts, Rebecca and Andrew, were terrific - Rebecca even picked up a few needed items for us when she went to the mainland. How great and thoughtful! Also loved being able to use their kayaks! We would totally consider coming here again - great, great, great!”

“Just perfect. This extremely well located yet 100% private beach cottage offers 2-4 people a perfect venue for a beach vacation. The cottage is fully equipped and the owners live on the property, though you’ll never see them or anyone if you choose. Plenty of beach equipment, wifi, views and tasteful decor make this place a winner. My wife and I stayed a week and inquired about next year from the airport.”

“My husband and I LOVE this house! It is professionally decorated and comfortably furnished with touches of whimsy thrown in for fun. The master bed is luxurious and cozy. The kitchen is not huge but just perfect for two or three people to whip up wonderful meals to eat out on the deck and afterward enjoy beautiful views of the water. What makes this house so perfect is that it is surrounded by some of the most spectacular flora and fauna I have ever seen. Wild creatures are everywhere and the mangroves, flowers, and sand dunes are amazing to look at. We saw turtles, armadillos, birds of all kinds, manatees and dolphins. My husband and I were like kids at summer camp. We did a lot of exploring the nearby park. We looked for shells. We kayaked around the bay side of the Island. We stayed up late and watched the unbelievably huge night sky twinkling with stars. Our souls were refreshed by the sheer purity of the natural surroundings here. The owner is so kind and caring. We thank her for sharing this lovely house with vacationers like us. We felt welcome right from the start and we look forward to our next visit.”

“Our stay on Little Gasparilla Island was near perfect. We wondered if the listing was accurate. Well, the property and trip exceeded our expectations. The owners may have undersold! They thought of everything to make our stay a relaxing delight. The cottage is pretty, clean, and comfortable. We felt right at home. We loved the screened in porches and all the little seating areas. But our favorite part had to be the beach. Cleanest beach we have ever seen. Great shelling and birding and dolphin watching. We took many walks up and down. Rarely passed another person. It was like having our own private island. Didn’t really want to leave the island but did go to Boca Grande for ice cream at the Loose Caboose which was great. While on the mainland we rented a stand up paddleboard for a few days. What a great way to enjoy the gulf. Even had a couple of dolphin swim within inches of us. We weren’t sure about cooking for ourselves but it worked out great. The Publix that Rebecca sent us to had prepared foods and we grilled a couple of times. We hope to return soon.”

“My wife, two kids and I just left one of the best vacation spots we have ever been. The secluded house was quite, beautiful and clean! We enjoyed the easy boat access AND the beach! We caught enough fish to cook on the grill on the back deck. The decks were completely screened in and we enjoyed the boardwalks from the beach to the bay. My wife enjoyed kayaking off the beach and we enjoyed launching the 23 ft fishing boat we rented from the Gasparilla Marina. We also rented a golf cart to explore the island a little. Rebecca and Andy, the home owners, we’re great to work with. They made us feel comfortable, gave us advice on what to bring and provided instructions for everything.
