“From the spectacular first-class kitchen, to the beautiful bedding, to the cozy and comfy beds, to the gorgeous tiles, leather furniture, private dock, waterfront living, bon fire under the stars - our vacation in this wonderful cottage was a dream come true. I’ve never seen anything like it - and the island is truly a paradise! The owners are so very friendly and helpful in every way - we never saw them except when we texted them for assistance with a ride across the bay or moving in or out of the unit, and they appeared instantly and were so very kind. We will return again and again. The kayaking right out our front door and the wildlife are truly amazing. WE LOVE this house! We LOVE this island!”

“What a wonderful getaway. I grew up going to this Island and it’s always such an enjoyable experience going back, especially at this rental location! The house is perfect, with all the amenities you could need being on an island. It’s beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious. With two kids at home and one on the way, this was the perfect time away for relaxation as we prepare to grow our family. I would highly recommend this rental property!”

“My husband and I wanted to do something a little different for our honeymoon. We wanted to go somewhere we could return for vacations to come with a growing family or as another romantic getaway. The boathouse on Little Gasparilla Island was the perfect place. We spent our mornings, coffee in hand, lounging on the screened in porch. In the afternoons we were either at the beach (just a few minutes’ walk away) searching for sharks teeth or kayaking with the manatees. We enjoyed some of the most beautiful sunsets on the beach. We could not have chosen a more perfect spot to spend our first days as a married couple. The house was gorgeous, and sits in the most peaceful location on LGI. “Before our marriage, my wife and I knew we wanted to get away without sacrificing comfort, and this amazing get away on LGI was all we could have hoped for and more. With access to both the beach and the bay from the house you can take full advantage of the amazing location you are in. The wildlife is amazing to watch, the mangrove trees are magical, the beach is teeming with sharks’ teeth, the stars are on full display every night. In the gulf coast the weather is always great, and this cabin puts you in the perfect position to capitalize on the weather every day. I cannot begin to say enough to do justice to this vacation, or this spot. It was amazing for a couple, but could easily be the perfect family vacation spot with 2 full bathrooms and and large dining table. The screened in porch is an amazing way to spend a rainy day. There really are no negatives or drawbacks to an island getaway surrounded by a national park and water access on both sides of the property. “Once we arrived, it was the most relaxing vacation ever. We would have stayed a few more weeks if we could. We loved the house. It is just as pictured and it was immaculate when we arrived. Our 8 year old daughter loved fishing off the dock and we all loved jumping in the extremely warm waves on the gulf side. I was surprised how much I enjoyed kayaking. We even got to see a neighborhood raccoon a few times next to the house. So peaceful here! We plan to return. Thank you for everything, Rebecca!”

“You know how life moves at such a ridiculous pace these days? Well, slow down and savor the beauty of the Bayfront Cottage. We saw birds, dolphins, fish and tortoise from this lovely home. Most days we saw less than a handful of other people on the beach. So completely restful, this home looks like it comes from the pages of a magazine and is filled with all the creature comforts. We thoroughly enjoyed our time checked out from the rat race.”

“This place is truly a slice of Heaven on Earth! As new “empty nesters,” we were looking for a fresh place to launch our newly found freedom. This plush island “cottage” indulged us in refined luxury and nurtured our quest for new island adventures. Free and unencumbered, we enjoyed walking the gorgeous white sand beach, exploring hidden island trails winding through lush jungle vegetation, and boating the island’s surrounding sparkling waterways. Fishing in the bay was fun and rewarding, and several evening meals featured a bounty of our fresh catches of the day! As nature-lovers, it was pure joy to study the island’s shore lines, drift across the shallow grass-flats on the bay, explore smaller islands in the area, and take in the abundance of marine life thriving in this tropical paradise. We felt like the only two people on Earth, and it was marvelous! The design of this amazing house allowed for open doors and windows, welcoming in the fragrant island air and refreshing breezes. We could also hear the calming sounds of rustling palm trees and distant waves crashing on the beach. I savored quiet time at night by lying on the dock, staring into the vastness of twinkling stars, and listening to the sounds of nature’s night life —a soothing prelude to a refreshing night’s sleep. This water-front house is perfect for pure indulgence and unplugging from a too busy world. The wall of glass windows, screened-in porch, and direct line of views from the house to the water kept us in “island-mode” even when indoors. Interior amenities are high-end, upscale, and well-appointed. The décor is comfortable and welcoming and pays homage to “old-Florida” style with a tasteful nod to vintage maritime memorabilia—charming! The bay front dock was easy to access and nicely accommodated our boat. One can tell the owners pay every attention to detail for comfort, ease of use, practicality, and ensuring a pleasurable island vacation for their guests. Rebecca and Andy were delightful to work with and very accommodating in planning our island escape! We are “old salts,” having vacationed on the island many times over four decades. This is our very favorite house on the island and our stay here far exceeded our expectations! It rekindled in us a renewed love for this special island! We intend to return to this house often and savor all it has to offer, refreshing and nurturing body, soul, and spirit!”
